Work Hours: Our office hours are from Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is an in-office position. Must be able to attend training for 2 weeks in Houston, TX (expenses paid). Position Overview: A Warehouse Associate at Pref-Tech is responsible for maintaining, assisting and coordinating all fleet and facility needs. You will also be overseeing all inbound and outbound shipments to their assigned locations, ensuring those shipments are accurate and have correct documentation, keeping purchasing costs competitive/market by coordinating with their manager and internally in the company/externally by vendor reviews. Must have experience with Purchase Orders and Excel, as there are significant administrative duties. Our Warehouse Associate works to maintain facilities including the performance of all daily and weekly needs of their assigned office, asset management and to ensure that all company property is accounted for, taken care of, and is in operable condition. Assistance in fleet maintenance will be required on an undefined basis. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a superior work ethic and professionalism who is committed to delivering the highest quality work product and results. Most work required will be in the Austin area with occasional travel to Dallas, Houston or other parts of Texas. Duties and Responsibilities: A Warehouse Associate may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities below, but not limited to:

  • Receiving incoming shipments of material(s) from vendor(s).
  • Reconciling shipment quantities against their associated packing slip.
  • Assigning job designation labels to materials and organizing those materials in designated project storage areas.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized warehouse space.
  • Assisting project teams with storage and retrieval of material for deployment to job sites.
  • Able to operate a forklift competently, effectively and as intended.
  • Able to perform shipping and receiving functions with third party vendors as needed/requested/required (i.e., FedEx, USPS, UPS, etc.).
  • Maintaining, assisting and coordinating all Austin fleet and facility needs.
  • Coordinating and managing vendors for routine maintenance and repairs for facilities and fleet needs.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be fluent in all applications contained in the Microsoft Office Business Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Experience with Purchase Orders.
  • Display a positive attitude to fellow team members and clients.
  • Willingness and ability to be a team player.
  • Ability to lift between 50 - 75 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Ability to focus and complete assigned tasks and prioritize when given multiple tasks.
  • Organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and follow through.
  • Must possess the ability to identify missing or back ordered materials, effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors and vendors.
  • At least 2 or more years of relevant warehouse experience and administrative duties.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics D365 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with shipping platforms such as FedEx and UPS.
