A Brief Summary of This Position:
Valmont Substations, LLC., specializing in the delivery of high voltage substations and transmission line equipment nationwide, is seeking a Warehouse Project Inventory Coordinator. This is a full-time position that requires a reliable, organized, detail oriented individual who is a quick learner, willing to take on any task and complete projects with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions:
General warehouse operations to ensure safe and accurate handling of all incoming and outgoing project shipments
Operate forklift to fulfill shipments
Verify the completion of inspections and other quality control methods to ensure accuracy of shipments
Verify that packing lists are given to the project manager the day the shipment is received in warehouse.
Verify that pictures showing total quantity of connectors unpacked and inspected are on server within one week of shipment receipt in warehouse.
Verify that transportation damage is noted on packing lists / bill of ladings at receipt and before carrier leaves site.
Arrange shipping quotes using locally available freight brokers or Valmont Logistics.
Verify that warehouse is kept organized and clean and shipments are put away on racks for later shipment
Keep tools / work area organized.
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
High School diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Previous forklift experience
Previous warehouse experience
The ability to use a calculator and a tape measure
The ability to read, write and follow non-complex instructions
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and computer proficiency to be able to communicate with other departments, enter time and labor functions as well as request time off
Ability to work in a team environment and to get along with coworkers
Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
Accuracy, organization and strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with some direction
Ability to lift and maneuver 50lbs or more at a time
Working on their feet for long periods
Working knowledge of Windows File Explorer, Microsoft Word, Excel & Adobe Acrobat
Time management and multitasking
Good listening and communication skills

Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
This position requires full range of motion, the ability to lift and manuver 50 lbs or more, the ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to squat, pivot, carry, reach and bend much of the time. It will also include occasional outdoor work. There are areas that will require the use of a ladder to access and there will be a large amount of walking within the warehouse to perform duties.
