Job Title: 3rd Shift Inventory Controller / Assistant
Location: Knoxville, TN Lab - 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $18.75 per hour (Opportunities for overtime hours available, but not required)
Position Overview:
We are seeking two dedicated 3rd Shift Inventory Controllers/Assistants to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This role involves both physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, supplies, and specimens in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
- Execute administrative tasks, including data entry and documentation using computer systems and applications.
- Receive and document materials and supplies from delivery services; unpack and reconcile products against packing lists.
- Troubleshoot and resolve delays in inbound and outbound sample shipments through effective communication and investigation.
- Organize and inspect materials and specimens in storage, ensuring inventory control, security, and accountability.
- Prepare and maintain shipping records for materials sent to other locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain the facility, including the laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, in accordance with company standards.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and promote EHS/safety practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of company records and information at all times.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Collaborative environment with internal contacts to resolve issues.
- Ability to understand and apply oral and written instructions.
- Frequent walking, standing, and bending; moderate squatting.
- Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment.
- Fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance.
