We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team of dedicated employees at our facility in Springfield, OR, as part of our Burton Mill Solutions division. Come and grow with us! Pay Range for this position is $18-$20 USD/per hour. How You Will Make a Positive Impact:

  • Process customer orders by locating the product listed on pick tickets and identifying proper quantities listed for each item by style, size and color.
  • Responsible for daily shipments of consumable and manufactured goods from warehouse.
  • Use proper shipping software to accurately ship the product, such as UPS World Ship, Starship, etc.
  • Accurately collate packing slips and shipping labels for each order assigned.
  • Effectively pick, package and ship products to customers and suppliers according to company process and standards.
  • Ability to accurately enter data for invoicing and shipping.
  • Prepares items to be shipped in appropriate shipping boxes; packs merchandise by verifying that all parts are pulled correctly.
  • Monitors inventory and quality control of products within the warehouse distribution center.
  • Receive shipments into the system and store them on the shelves.
  • Operate forklift and or pallet jack while loading and unloading a truck.
  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in shipping area using lean 5-S standards.
  • Requires general knowledge of freight rates, classifications, interstate commerce laws and regulations for most economical transportation.
  • Assemble orders, check against shipping or customer orders, report shortages and follow up to locate items or incomplete orders.
  • Route shipments and arrange for carrier product pickups.
  • Implement continuous improvements/Lean Manufacturing with suggestions and observations.
  • Promote safety and adhere to safety standards
  • Check and respond to email regularly and in a timely fashion
The Value You Bring:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience performing shipping/receiving functions within a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Prior forklift and pallet jack with excellent safety record preferred
  • Ability to efficiently utilize various computer systems and applications to complete job functions, including basic knowledge with Word and Excel
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English with ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 100 pounds with assistance infrequently. Ability to position material above shoulders.
  • Must have analytical problem-solving skills and ability to apply critical thinking skills
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, work well under pressure, adapt to constant and frequent change, and apply effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to show good judgment as relates to work quality, performance, and people interactions. Must be able to apply attention to detail.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality
  • Able to work well with others to maximize productivity and efficiency while exemplifying behavior that upholds company values and standards
  • Ability to display a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
  • Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to schedule daily work requirements while unsupervised to meet customer demands
