This position is responsible for the assembling of orders and preparation of goods for shipment. Additionally, this position requires working within a team environment with other areas such as Purchasing, Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing.Job Responsibilities
- Understand and follow procedures that comply with Company policies.
- Fill orders with the correct parts and quantities.
- Package product in accordance to customer and GK requirements.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks.
- Be aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques.
- Fully support the Company's ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE program.
- Comply with and participate in training on all safety rules.
- The willingness and physical ability to work on our equipment which can include climbing ladders, crawling under objects and lifting in excess of 70 pounds.
- The ability to speak, read and write in the English language.
- The willingness to work from existing policies and procedures and the ability to build knowledge.
- The ability to resolve routine problems.
- The ability to take ownership and show support for workplace initiatives.
Requirements
- Requires working on hard floor - sitting, walking, standing, laying, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting and stooping.
- Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift.
- Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds regularly with occasional lifting to upwards of 75 pounds.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of (1) year of work related experience.
- Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
