Title: Warehouse Associate

Pay: $19/hr

Contract to Hire: 6 months

Location: Syracuse, NY 13208

Work Schedule: 4/10 hour Days | Mon - Thurs | 3 day weekends

Hours: 6:30a - 5p with 3 breaks - Morning, lunch, afternoon

Interviews: Must be F2F to see the facility

MUST HAVES:

  • Warehouse experience is a must
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Any experience with sorting will be helpful but not required

Manager Notes

  • This position involves a warehouse that receives and ships paint cans. They will be processing the incoming paint cans including sorting, scraping out the contents, and recycling it.
  • The facility is 33,000 square feet
  • They received household paint cans for recycling
  • Sorters - separate the paints into categories
  • Processors - remove the paint from the cans
  • It is a dirty / physical job dealing with the paint and moving the cans
  • Protective gear will be given to the individuals - glasses, gloves, sleeves, and apron
  • It is an open air warehouse with no heat or AC
  • Must pass a drug and background
  • Must have steel toe boots

Responsibilities:

  • Unloading, emptying and separating of paint cans
  • Opening, bulking, scraping and processing waste paint as part of a production line
  • Management of empty paint containers to various area within the plant
  • Moving paint materials and needed supplies throughout warehouse; manual labor moving drums, boxes and full/empty cans and pails will be required.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis
  • Load and unload supplies and paint from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment

Requirements and Skills:

  • No experience necessary, learn on the job
  • Fulfill all requirements to be employed in the US
  • Experience driving a forklift would be an asset
  • Positive, pleasant attitude
  • Must be in good physical condition with no limits on bending, stooping, walking, standing
