  • Shift will be 10:00 AM-7:00 PM
  • Must be flexible- availability is needed from time to time for OT (not a lot of OT but there can be during peak season)
  • Must be a self-starter / go-getter and be eager to work
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately prepare and fulfill orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting
  • Move product and inventory using a forklift and bin system
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Measure, weigh, and count products and materials
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
  • Help control quality by removing incomplete or defective products or materials from package
  • Place items on / collect items from moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks
  • Seal containers or materials, using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools
  • Load materials and products into package processing equipment
  • Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools
  • Place or pour products or materials into containers, using hand tools and equipment
  • High volume bulk picking from mezzanine and rack location
Physical Demands:
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Repetitive motions
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 75 pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
Requirements:
  • Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
  • Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products
  • Work at a fast pace and demonstrate urgency towards the completion of projects
  • Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties
  • Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklift, previous experience is a plus
  • Experience with UPS WorldShip software package a plus
  • Proficiency with FedEx shipping software a plus
  • Experience with Export shipping a plus
  • Proficiency with computers required
  • Experience handling RF guns required
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to functionally interface with personnel at all levels, multitask and work independently and react to changing priorities and conditions in order to meet job objectives
