Job Purpose: The Warehouse Helper coordinates the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods while assisting the teams in managing inventory levels. They ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of all warehouse space and stock. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to appropriate departments for processing.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for team members and customer traffic.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping area.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Work in coordination with all departments and other shipping and receiving team members. Cross train in other areas to be the back up for Material handling when needed.
  • Act as final QC for all fabricated items before packing or shipping for delivery or pick-up, verify the AD-F12 has been completed on all fabricated items before shipping.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jacks, use a ladder, and additional hand tools as needed.
  • Transport materials and merchandise in company vehicle to customers
  • Maintain proper documentation and paperwork for all orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of reading English, writing, and basic math.
  • Must be organized, efficient, and self-motivated and exhibit a willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions, whether working with a team or without supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical
