3rd Shift: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Mon - Thur)

This position will require the ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis; 50+ pounds or more regularly.

This position is responsible for warehouse/material distribution tasks relative to the receiving and shipment of products.

The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive:

  • Processing customer orders, including scanning bar codes, labeling boxes, picking products, and preparing packages for shipment.

  • May be responsible for operating the parcel manifest station. Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging. Palletizing includes scanning, retrieving, and placing completed orders on pallets.

  • Re-palletizing products for shipment.

  • May be responsible for dock manifest duties which include scanning completed pallets and running shrink wrapper.

  • This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan and safety training.

  • May be responsible for operating the ground/manual manifest station.

  • May be required to transport pallets by material handling equipment.

  • Ensures all assigned duties are completed in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standards and by following departmental procedures.

  • Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in the Quality System Regulations (QSR).Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.Must take safety first and be able to work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and to enforce accurate operating practices and procedures crafted to prevent injuries and illnesses. Regular and reliable attendance at work.

  • Safety shoes required for position. Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions, assist as required, and act as back up in times of absence or vacation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED equivalent or 1 year of relevant experience required.

  • Effective communication skills are necessary to be used for verbal and written forms ideas/business, as well as a variety of instructions.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment, reading, and interpreting documents.

  • Works well with other employees, under minimal supervision.

  • The ability to operate material handling equipment and RF scanner.

  • Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.

  • May be required to operate an electric pallet jack.

  • Must have good basic math skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and good prioritization skills.

  • General digital literacy, distribution knowledge, and QSR knowledge.

  • This position requires a pre-employment physical.

  • Employees must have a normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing/distribution environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, grasping, talking, hearing, twisting, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers. The job does require lifting over 50 pounds without assistance (Heavy Lifter).

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level is moderately loud.  Exposure to working near moving mechanical equipment, precarious situations, and potential temperature excursions and fumes/airborne particles.
