As a Warehouse Associate I, daily work will involve handling, processing, and tracking inventory for aerial, underground/excavation, and fiber optic placement projects. - Ensures that all office locations are adhering to Kelly Cable inventory policies, procedures and processes
- Maintain inventory by identifying, stocking, receiving, reordering, and organizing materials
- Utilize specialized reporting processes for record updating purposes
- Reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and system anomalies through auditing inventory shipments
- Review all paperwork confirming that the correct pricing, quantity and materials were received
- Operate forklift and other various pieces of equipment as needed
- Interacts with internal personnel to resolve problems or answer questions
Success Factors:
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift
- Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling
- Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
- Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers
- Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
- English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
- Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
Experience and Education:
- 3 years of warehouse and inventory material handling experience
- 2 years of construction experience
- Proficient MS Office skills including inventory software
- Ability to retrieve, analyze, and input data
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
