Job Description:

At current, this position reports directly to the Associate Director of Warehouse Material Management, Weigh & Dispense. Working within a greenfield project initially, the candidate will be responsible for facility start-up, installation & commissioning activities to ensure the Warehouse is operationally ready for cGMP Manufacturing.

The prospect will be required to handle various equipment involved in daily warehouse operations and will work with various functional teams in a customer service type environment to ensure material needs are met correctly and timely in support of all functional teams.

This role will focus largely on preparatory activities required for warehouse set up including systems, equipment readiness for use, material readiness and setting up operational plans & flows. The incumbent will work using several software's and tasks including using ERP-SAP WMS, ASRS and high racking systems, Inventory Management, equipment and materials management and procedural documentation writing.

Core Responsibilities/Experience:

  • Will use SAP to manage warehouse material inventory.
  • Will be required to perform Warehouse logistics related day to day activities.
  • Responsible for performing activities related to material & sample & clinical products & commercial products inventory management and logistics, such as outbound shipping, coordinate shipment preparation and pick up.
  • Support with writing and updating of documents such as SOP's, MBRs, WI's, Forms & Training documents.
  • Comfortable with all aspects of Warehouse Operations, otherwise has strong willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working within and operate within a High Rack Warehousing system.
  • Managing inventory for Warehouse materials.
  • Performing periodic cycle counting to determine inventory accuracy.
  • Makes sure to complete all necessary trainings to remain in compliance.
  • Will work under supervision and escalate issues to supervisor.
  • Handling of temperature sensitive materials.
  • Must have good communication and writing skills.
  • Provide daily on-hand support to all functional teams, as needed.
  • Prior experience working within a Classified Clean Room.
  • Harnessing safe behaviors and ensuring upmost importance for a safe working environment in the Warehouse
  • Demonstrates a sense of teamwork and shows flexibility to meet critical timelines.
  • Support in any other assignment as is determined by supervisor/manager.
  • Will perform cleaning activities of clean rooms, equipment and materials.
  • Work within a clean room environment and understands GMP standards.

Professional Experience

  • Warehousing experience is required, must be able to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry operations, is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods, up to 8 to 10 hours/day
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently
  • Must be able to work scheduled minimum 40 hours/week
  • Must be comfortable working in varying temperatures such as periodic entering into cold environments i.e. 2-8°C, -40°C, -70°C.
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • The working environment will require dedicated gowns to be worn and additional PPE as required
  • Comfortable working with hazardous materials and chemicals in a safe manner
  • Comfortable operating equipment/machinery such as Forklift, Pallet Jack, Reacher, Pallet Washer, Pallet Changer
  • Willing to work any shift
