Your missions : Location: Durham, NC MONDAY-FRIDAY 6:00AM-4:30PM Job Summary and Purpose: The Warehouse Associate is a position within the US Pet Retail team. The position will float between warehouses as daily workload requires, and transport materials from the warehouse to the corresponding production locations. The Warehouse Associate position will perform an array of functions that may include transporting raw materials to the production sites; receiving and processing of incoming stocks and materials; picking and filling orders from stock; packing and shipping orders; and labeling and packaging of semi-finished products. This position ensures that daily routine functions are completed accurately and timely and in accordance with all applicable regulations and policies. Responsibilities and Key Duties: Material movement to production - Load, transport and unload materials from warehouse to production multiple times a week. Forklift certification is recommended but not required as we require in-house certification. Receiving of incoming stocks and materials - Unload and verify incoming deliveries per applicable SOPs and organize materials into appropriate storage area as well as receiving via scanner within the operating system (JDE). Maintaining stock and material movement for daily tasks and upcoming shipments. Label and Packaging - Reception, verification and storage of outgoing and incoming labels. Retrieval of semi-finished and finished goods accurately. Issuance of components and record keeping of packaging within operating system. Order Preparation and Distribution - Preparation of order prior to picking and packing, pick orders from locations noted on the packing list, and accurate inspection of items (lot/expiration date) and quantity picked. Process shipping through specified carriers and stage for pick up. Workflow and Reporting - Accurate and concurrent record keeping for completed finished good work orders. Work with support teams for workload management and scheduling. Concurrent material movement physically and within the operating system. Quality and Safety - Demonstrate a safety culture in day-to-day operations and quality assurance understanding, assisting in check documentation and researching shipping issues. Perform periodic inventory cycle counts as well as a yearly physical inventory/audit. Training and Compliance - Comply with all area SOPs, company policies, USDA regulation, safety and OSHA regulations and obtain company certification to operate power industrial truck. Time management skills Ability to lift 50 or more pounds without assistance. Ability to stand comfortably for six or more hours at a time. Qualifications: Education - High School Diploma or GED Work Experience - 2 years of Warehouse & Distribution experience in a manufacturing environment.
