Job Description Summary Under the direction of the Supervisory Staff, the Logistics Technician's ensures that the warehouse runs at optimum efficiency while collaborating with a team, which includes keeping machines and work area in a clean, sanitary condition and following hygienic zoning protocols. Abides by all company policies and procedures. Logistics Techs will provide relief to other associates as needed. Job Description Understands personal safety and food safety requirements within area(s) of responsibility Always maintains safe work practices and participates in safety programs Abides by all PPE requirements and LOTO policy 100% of the time Demonstrates proficiency within training area of responsibility Demonstrates the ability to perform the required tasks on shift (Operating a forklift, pallet jack, loading dock equipment, etc.) and covers vacancies in areas where proficient skills are obtained and validated Follow defined standards and SOPs Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed Always maintains a clean work environment Counts items for distribution Compiles tickets from customer specifications Baseline understanding of WMS/TMS systems (SAP) Understand and comply with all department policies and procedures Report sanitation deficiencies to the Supervisor Break relief for other Technicians as assigned Must be willing to work all shifts Basic & Preferred Qualifications Must be able to communicate effectively and understand both verbal and written instructions in English.
