Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Distribution Associate to join our team!Summary In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate receiving, stocking, order picking, and distribution of various items within our Distribution Center. This includes medical supplies, linen, forms, records, equipment, and furniture. You will ensure adherence to safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and provide exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and report any hazards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in offices, common areas, and the CDC.
  • Follow infection control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Customer Service:
  • Work with couriers to fulfill pick-up requests.
  • Ensure order accuracy and completeness for both receiving and distribution.
  • Collaborate with the Receiving Clerk and Warehouse Manager to resolve receiving issues.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Generate shipping labels and handle paperwork for outgoing merchandise.
  • Operate forklifts and picking equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized equipment storage area.
  • Manage available storage space and resolve storage problems.
  • Receive all merchandise accurately and timely.
  • Accurately pick and stage outgoing orders for timely delivery.
  • Consolidate problematic receipts for resolution.
  • Perform inventory management tasks including restocking, stock rotation, and cycle counts.
  • Communication & Teamwork:
  • Communicate healthcare/CDC policies to colleagues.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and personally assist customers with issues.
  • Effectively communicate with staff, visitors, and customers.
  • Demonstrate proper phone etiquette and technology competence.
  • Participate in team activities and promote unit operations.
  • Technology:
  • Maintain knowledge of office technology (computers, fax machines, copiers).
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office software applications and PMM.
  • Learn and implement new software applications as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience with data entry helpful (preferred)
  • Service-oriented with a background in purchasing and an aptitude for computer and warehouse procedures
  • Proficient in forklift and picker equipment operation (required)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions (written and oral)
  • Proven attention to detail, particularly with numbers
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift 35-50 lbs., bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods
