Warehouse Clerk Purpose: The Atlanta Public School System is seeking the services of a part-time/temporary warehouse clerk to provide direct and indirect logistical support to IT warehouse techs, IT field support techs and other SME's who provide direct support to APS schools and administrative locations. Scope of Work/Essential Responsibilities: • Count inventory • Sort inventory • Re-stock shelves • Utilize logistics software to update inventory records • Receive products and check that they are not damaged. Verify that the products are intact and report any defects. • Separate damaged products. • Record all received items in the computer system. • Pack items in a methodical way. • Pick and pack service request ticket orders • Label items around the warehouse • Unload products from trucks and check to ensure that they match with the delivery documents such as the bill of lading, shipping invoice or delivery note. • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items • Assists in loading and unloading delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport requiring physical moving and lifting of product weighing as much as 150 pounds. • Follow established processes and procedures. • Clean the warehouse. • Maintain exceptional customer service posture at ALL TIMES. Contract Duration: • Part-time/Temporary (initial) • Option to extend annually - based on performance. Skills and Qualifications: • A high school qualification or equivalent. • Prior experience working in a warehouse. • Attention to detail. • Excellent organizational skills. • Computer literacy. • Teamwork • Coordination • Reporting skills • Inventory control • Documentation skills • Data entry skills • Dependability • Relative physical strength and stamina. Physical Demands: • While performing the duties of this job, the candidate may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility • Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment. • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and comply with OSHA standards • Frequent exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. Work: This work will be completed on-site at the APS warehouse or at any of the Atlanta Public Schools sites or buildings in the metro Atlanta area. Clerks will work part-time/temporary Monday - Friday (typically 8am - 4pm). Hours may change slightly to accommodate the demands of the warehouse. Leadership: The warehouse clerk will take day-to-day direction from the IT Logistics Warehouse Supervisor. He/she will be responsible for providing regular updates and meeting the deadlines imposed by the district.
