Job Description Summary:Job Description:JOB SUMMARYPerform an array of functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks and checking in merchandise.Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.Assist with making deliveries as assigned.Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.Open bales, crates and other containers to count and put stock away.Maintains inventory controls by recording amounts of materials or items received and distributed. Supply weekly report.Assist in counting of physical inventory.Prepare parcels for mailing or shipping via UPS, FedEx, Amazon or other distributorMaintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop as needed.Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all timesWear the proper safety equipmentQUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or GED equivalent requiredValid State of Connecticut drivers' licenseGood communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skillsDependable and reliableInventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferredREQUIRED LICENSESValid Driver's LicenseForklift Operation Certification will be considered an advantagePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENTTeam player.Problem solver.Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.Use of Pallet jackSpecific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.Great physical stamina and manual dexterity.Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.Great interpersonal and communication skillsMay require use of n experience with inventory and logistics software programsGood organizational and time-management skillsADDITIONAL QUALIFICIATIONSWe are looking for a hardworking Warehouse worker.
