Key Duties IncludeSummary Description This position works closely with the Production Manager/Supply Chain Manager to ensure the warehouse is run in an efficient and effective manner. He/she is responsible for providing shift leadership by managing the workflow of inventory movement and coordination with LTO (Lift Truck Operators). The position will also perform cycle counts and provide reports to the necessary manager/department. Essential Duties Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.
  • Inventories all products on a routine (monthly/weekly) basis to an accuracy level of 98% or higher.
  • Performs SAP transactions to add or remove product due to errors. Requires research, submits findings to appropriate supervisor or manager and requests approval before correction transaction occurs.
  • Performs scrap adjustments to reconcile damaged products out of inventory.
  • Completes daily inspection on lift equipment and reports any associated maintenance needed.
  • Able to become proficient in operating lift truck to move, consolidate, load, or unload materials.
  • Performs resin and gas unloads from railcars/tankers.
  • Coordinates with carriers for incoming deliveries of pallets, tape, cores, housewrap master rolls.
  • Preps and coordinates special roll shipments, OptimR, Koolduct and Kooltherm shipments.
  • Stacks, labels and repacks product using mobile wrapper, place runners and labels product.
  • Completes daily readings on Silo/gas tanks, railcar inventory and roof inspection.
  • Receives MIGO (inventory and chemical transfer for production access) and matches receipt to PO.
  • Reviews biweekly scrap list, providing scrap level information to Production and Warehouse teams.
  • Assists LTO's on advanced RF scan gun and monitors RF transactions or other computer problems.
  • Assists with on the job/hands on training of operators.
  • Ensure schedules adherence.
  • Provides needed feedback, planning suggestions and improvements to the Planning and Production teams.
  • Responds to and reports any near miss, injury, accident or property damage to Safety Lead and Human Resources. Be able to start the investigation and paperwork.
  • Be able to lead Warehouse meeting and Safety Toolbox Talks.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

  • QualificationsSkills, Knowledge & AbilitiesEducation and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must have at least one (1) year of inventory experience in manufacturing, warehouse or similar job/environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and ability. Must have:
    • Experience with business computer applications (Microsoft Office). SAP or similar software experience preferred.
    • Work scheduled shift and overtime as needed.
    • Strong communication skills, effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
    Must be able to:
    • Become proficient in SAP (inventory control system)
    • Work schedule shift and overtime as needed
    • Work in a team based environment.
    • Set and manage multiple priorities.
    • Complete forklift certification program
    • Follow directions and get along well with others.
    Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and written in English. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide). Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificate/License: Must have forklift operator license at time of hire/transfer, or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire/transfer to position. Must have Lock Out / Tag Out certification, or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire/transfer into job. Must have DOT Hazcom training and certification with 90 days of hire/transfer into job.
