We are currently seeking a person who identifies strongly with our mission and core values to join our team in Ft. Lewis, WA as a Warehouse Delivery Manager. This is an ideal role for someone who is self-motivated, extremely organized and who has management experience in a retail or wholesale environment. Prior military experience is also strongly preferred. Purpose: Responsible for delivery and superior customer service for orders and online order management. Support the daily operations of warehouse operations to meet the ongoing supply needs of customers. Manages a team of drivers and daily routes on and around the assigned area. Receives, inspects, verifies, labels, loads and unload truck, and prepares merchandise for delivery. Provide excellent customer service and support. Responsibilities: •Plans and dispatches drivers on assigned routes to conduct deliveries. •Receive merchandise, verify quantities, sign for delivery, and record receipt of merchandise on delivery log. •Monitor and process daily invoices •Work closely with Administration Team to resolve order and customer issues and address e-commerce inquiries •Ensure proper billing practices are adhered to. •Interacting with store customers, taking their suggestions and comments. •Maintains inventory records for accuracy. •Hires, motivates and mentors employees. •Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting and orienting. •Provides corrective actions when need. •Organizes orientation and other training activities. •Responsible for employees schedules. •Inspect product, verify product description and quantities against purchase order and pack slip. Create missing pack slip, when not accompanied with shipment. •Performs duties as a driver as needed. •Assure product is in undamaged and in sellable retail packaging. •Document on pack slip any damaged merchandise, missed-shipped items or any other problems; take required action to solve the problem with shipper or vendor. •Update quantities in computer system to accept receipt of merchandise. •Date and sign pack slip and file with daily receiving log. •Break packages down into sellable units of measure. •Correctly identify and assign bar codes into the item record. •Prepare back ordered items for shipment or pick-up as indicated. •Run daily reports. •Ensure products are received for next day delivery. •Sort freight, load truck, and verify packages against shipping documents. •Responsible for pick-up of returned merchandise. •Must complete appropriate paperwork, gather signatures, account for receipts. •Process freight received in computer system •Deliver catalogs and assist customers as needed. •May prepare monthly reports that track vehicle condition, mileage and expenses. •Performs routine inspections on vehicles, forklift, and pallet jack. Schedules maintenance or repairs as needed. •Responsible for the drivers, vehicles, and its contents. •Operate vehicles in a safe, lawful and courteous manner. •Maintains building security by assuring all exit points are locked or manned during business hours and may lock or check all locked doors at the close of business. •Keep management informed regarding delivery performance, staffing/operational issues, and customer concerns, etc. •Submits requests for supplies and equipment. •Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area. •Attention to housekeeping and organization safety. •Complies with all Lighthouse and warehouse policies and procedures. •Complies with all motor vehicle regulations. •Complies with safety requirements. •Complies with Federal and local legal requirements. •Complies with base rules and contractual requirements. •Other duties as assigned. Requirements: •Associates Degree preferred. •3 to 5 years in supervisory role in retail, wholesale, or supply operation. •Previous military service a plus. •Fork Lift certification preferred. •Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs using safe lifting techniques. •Must be able to work on concrete floors that may be uneven. Standing, stooping, bending, stretching throughout shift. •Must be able to safely use warehouse equipment, climb ladders and load and unload delivery vehicles. •Must be able to communicate in a pleasant, polite, and professional manner with both customers and employees. •Proficient with basic math. •Proficient with MS Office. •Proficient in Excel. •Ability to motivate to employees. •Must have excellent analytical and sound decision making. •Strong administrative and managerial skills and abilities. •Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills. •Knowledge of inventory management systems. •Excellent written and verbal communication; Clear written, verbal skills with solid English language fluency. •Ability to network with customers, suppliers and peers. •Commitment to Lighthouse mission. •Ability to work schedule as assigned.
