Night Dispatcher Modern Chevrolet Parts Warehouse has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Night Dispatcher to assist with a growing collision, mechanical, and powertrain parts business. Drivers:
- Make sure all routes are covered each day
- Make adjustments and substitute when drivers need to be off
Deliveries and Pickups:
- Trace down any problems of shortages and contact the appropriate people
- Arrange for pickups at dealers and tire distributers
- Make sure all parts get to the correct hub each night
- Straighten up route bins double checking nothing was missorted
- Run a truck of parts to necessary hub if there is a driver absence or the linehaul blown out
- Clean up manifest. Add or remove any shipments for the next day
- Prepare manifest before the driver leaves for their route. Adding or deleting any shipments necessary
- Ensure each driver has a vehicle for their route
- Handle all communication with linehaul and early morning drivers
- Relay any vital information to necessary personal at end of shift
- Manage company phone during shift for call outs, linehaul or shipping issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior dispatch and logistical experience are a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
- Team player
- Comfortable with technology.
