**Description**

Drives truck or automobile over established route to deliver products or render services, collects payment from customers, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Driver to perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues with vehicle if unsafe to drive.

Keeps trucks clean, report any malfunctions to warehouse manager; make note of needed repair in logbook. If repair is not completed in a timely manner, report to supervisor.

Verify piece counts, weights, invoices and numbers on Bill of Lading.

Drives truck to deliver product to customers place of business.

Collects payment from customers. Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.

Escalates customer service complaints to supervisor.

Loads truck (if instructed by supervisor).

Ensures all hazardous material is logged and packaged correctly.

Follow National Oak Distributors policies and Department of Transportation regulations at all times.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Driver's License, A, B or C Class and HAZMAT Endorsement required. Meet all Department of Transportation, Federal/State requirements.
