Contractors Choice, warehouse Associates/ second driver will provide unparalleled service as they help Contractors Choice serve its customers. Warehouse Associate handles incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse. Duties include
- Unloading and loading trucks. Semi-trucks or Contractors choice personal trucks and make sure the packing slip matches what was loaded or unloaded from a truck.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies
- Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes.
- Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details. Nothing should be wrapped until Shipping and receiving have approved the order.
- Checking ticket for correct contents pulled along with matching serial numbers on equipment.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed
- Maintain a clearly organized workspace
- Grinding and painting reconditioned equipment for inventory and orders
- Putting together equipment for orders and making sure everything is secure.
- Driving equipment to construction sites or customer offices
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Commitment to safety in the workplace
