Position Purpose:
As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently transporting incoming freight to inventory, replenishing pick slots, and maintaining the efficient flow of the production process. This includes operating material handling equipment such as a forklift and pallet jack. Additionally, you will ensure that safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards are met.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Locating proper slots on storage racks, setting pallets in place, and entering product data
- Replenishing pick slots with outgoing stock items and rotating date-sensitive stock according to work orders
- Dispersing over-stocked items to available slots and performing general housekeeping duties
- Inspecting items for damage, performing temperature and quality checks, and taking appropriate action as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
- Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds
- Able to work in multi-temperature environments
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
