This role ensures the efficient and effective movement, storage, and distribution of goods, materials and products around the clock. The General Manager will lead multiple logistics team in collaboration with the Operations Manager, ensuring that all logistics process align with the company's strategic objectives and effectively respond to client demands.To learn more about Samsung SDS America, Inc. please visit and implement logistics strategies that support the overall goals of the manufacturing facilityOptimize the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management and warehousing inside the facilityLead, mentor, and develop the logistics team for each existing shift, to ensure smooth transitions and continuity in a 24/7 manufacturing environmentFoster a collaborative and results-oriented work environmentOversee daily logistics operations and directly report to head of the clientEnsure accurate and timely delivery of materials to support client's production schedulesManage inventory levels to minimize costs while meeting production needsBuild & maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, being able to negotiate contracts and manage agreementsOversee warehouse employees including training, assigning, scheduling, disciplining employees, and communicating job expectations, while adhering to company and HR policies and proceduresEnsure employees follow safety compliances by performing regular safety audits and promoting a culture of safety awarenessInvestigate/report any safety incidents and implement preventative measures to avoid future occurrencesIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiencyMonitor and evaluate each team's performance to ensure their operations run above standard performanceDevelop and monitor KPIs to enhance the effectiveness of logistics operations, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goalsMeet warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actionsWork closely with the client's production, and procurement team to ensure seamless logistics operations and be able to remain responsive and flexible in a dynamic 24/7 environmentProactively communicate with client to establish daily/weekly/monthly production plans to prepare goalsAccomplish warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as neededBachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.10+ years of working experience in 3PL/Plant warehousing operation or similar functionProven experience in a leadership role, with managing large teams and complex logistics operations.Highly organized with ability to manage multiple teams, while paying close attention to detailProficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (ex.
