Job Description:

OTC Industrial Technologies is looking for a Warehouse Generalist to join our team in Lafeyette, LA! As a Warehouse Generalist, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. This includes managing inventory, operating a forklift, and ensuring that all products are properly stored and labeled. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be computer literate, and have strong time management skills. Additionally, the Warehouse Generalist must be detail oriented and able to manage inventory effectively. What You'll Do:

  • Safely operate a forklift and related typical warehouse equipment (scales, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Shipping/Receiving duties, including checking items into stock and tagging for delivery.
  • UPS and FedEx online shipping administration as well as scheduling LTL freight deliveries. Data entry and management of related paperwork to ensure accuracy of company records.
  • Receive and check incoming freight/shipments with accuracy matching part numbers to packing slip to ensure good inventory control. Includes unpacking, examining, and routing incoming shipments/parts Data entry into Company's operating systems, ISM & CSD.
  • Palletize and prepare truck shipments, including all necessary paperwork.
  • Accurately pick orders in accordance with established procedures including staging service work orders daily.
  • Responsible for assisting with inventory control - accurate counting, safely and securely storing and movement of inventory within a warehouse environment.
  • Daily cycle counting of stock inventory.
  • Record and report shipping shortages as well as damaged items/shipments per protocol.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and receiving dock.
  • Replenish truck stock inventory as directed by Operations Specialist
  • Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Computer software skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe PDF and Infor SXE).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
