Job Description for the Warehouse Inventory Manager

The Warehouse Inventory Manager is responsible to receive, stock, maintain and disburse inventory, and make appropriate adjustments in the ERP system. Stocks inventory items (vendor purchases, components, finished products and assemblies). The purpose of the Warehouse Inventory Manager position is to support the Sales, Fabrication and Installation Departments by handling their inventory needs.

The qualified candidate is preferred to have prior manufacturing inventory control experience with attention to detail and strong analytical and organizational skills.

Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities for the Warehouse Inventory Manager

  • Receives items delivered unloads parts off trucks.
  • Records inventory transactions in ERP system in a timely manner.
  • Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves.
  • Executes and facilitates inventory transfers, adjustments and discrepancies across all business units.
  • Pulls parts for retail customers as well as the Fabrication and Installation Departments.
  • Verifies inventory by comparing data to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors; conducts inventory counts/audits.
  • Determines reorder points and creates orders for items in need of reorder.
  • Creates and maintains proper storage and organization methods of products based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Cleans and maintains supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas; orders and organizes shipping supplies.
  • Assists department in all other tasks as needed, including keeping their workspace tidy.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities for the Warehouse Inventory Manager

  • Clerical: Knowledge of clerical procedures and systems
  • Communication: Native/bilingual or professional fluency in English required, regarding both expression and comprehension in reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Critical Thinking: Using reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Information Ordering, Spatial Organization, & Attention to Detail: Ability to arrange objects in a certain order according to specific rules; ability to notice minute differences in products, etc.
  • Mathematics: Knowledge of arithmetic and ability to use addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Problem Sensitivity & Solving: Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; furthermore, ability to follow procedure to solve problems.
  • Social Skills: Ability to work with others one-on-one and in teams of various sizes; service orientation, social perceptiveness.
  • Machinery: Ability to safely and properly use forklifts and other equipment to facilitate movement of product into and out of warehouse.
  • Technology: Ability to use Windows-based ERP programs. Knowledge of specific electronics will be acquired via on-the-job training as needed.
  • Time Management & Punctuality: Managing one's own time and adhering to deadlines within the department; adheres to attendance protocol.
  • Versatility: Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Qualifications for the Warehouse Inventory Manager

  • Education: High school completion/diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Work Experience: 1+ year(s) of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, and/or warehouse preferred.
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Forklift experience is a plus.

Compensation details: 18-28 Hourly Wage
