This hourly position exists to facilitate the timely and efficient stocking of product to support the warehouse shipping functions.
Essential Functions
- Provides effective physical stock keeping of production materials and ensures the integrity and reliability of the inventory status database by achieving and maintaining the required minimum level of piece count by location and record accuracy for assigned items and areas.
- Responsible for physical staging of product throughout warehouse to ensure efficient pick/pack/process functions. In consultation with Warehouse Leads/Supervisor, determines and maintains the proper amount and arrangement of facilities (floor space, racks, etc.) required for efficient, orderly, and safe storage and usage of assigned items in warehouse.
- Responsible for communicating with and preparing obsolete product to go to salvage department and coordinates with Material Distribution for timely removal.
- Processes paperwork as required to support the materials management function, including interplant materials transfers, RGR's.
- Maintains valid, accurate and up-to-date data base information in assigned areas by utilizing cycle counts, system reports, and queries.
- Maintains the accuracy of the balance on hand records by properly recording material movement in and out of assigned storage locations.
- Performs or coordinates various analytical studies of inventory performance (i.e., ABC, usage patterns, days of supply, excess and obsolete, etc.)
Additional Functions
- Helps to ensure accuracy of inventory levels and stocking levels by actively communicating with purchasing department.
- Helps to ensure timely resolution of warranty claims by managing holding areas, and communicating shipping errors to warehouse manager, and RMA group.
- Assists in the planning, organization, and direction of the physical counting and data entry activities required for physical inventory.
- Coordinates with Warehouse Manager to ensure active cooperation between Inventory control and warehouse functions.
Experience / Knowledge
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of the company's relational database as well as various analytical tools (i.e., queries, spreadsheets, etc.), to develop improved inventory management information, systems, and procedures.
- Proficient with MicroSoft Office software including AX.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment required with high level of comfort operating and utilizing pickers and personnel carriers.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly in a fast paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to plan and execute the inventory control and velocity stock aspects of significant projects.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with all personnel.
- Ability to work with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Work Requirements
- This position may require working in extremes in temperature while performing moderately physical activity.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours and days worked.
- Regular attendance is essential.
