ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes load verification and verifies the accuracy of assembled loads.
- Loads trailers according to loading SOP in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.
- Performs pre-operational checks of material handling equipment and operates it safely and efficiently.
- Assists with placement of pallets on the loading dock.
- Coordinates loads with office clerks.
- Stages pallets and/or loads into the truck when ready.
- Maintains proper housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Ensures that operations are aligned and performed to achieve production and safety goals.
- Maintains a safety mindset through daily safety inspections, adherence to safety policies, and reporting potential safety threats; works with leadership to remedy threatening situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, walk, bend, pivot, reach, push, and squat most of the workday.
- Manage cases weighing 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to manage between 50 and 200+ pallets daily.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not required to succeed in this role.
Experience:Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, cherry picker/forklifts, etc.) is preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to speak and write English for effective communication.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
