**POSITION TITLE:** **Warehouse Logistics & Services Coordinator**

**DEPARTMENT:** Family Services

**REPORTS TO:** Family Services Supervisor; Facilities Administrator

**FLSA Status:** Non-exempt

- **BASIC PURPOSE**

The purpose of this position is to keep the Family Services Warehouse andproperty clean and orderly. To deliver and collect supplies/non-confidential inner office mail; receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products.

As well as to assist with food distribution through creating, enhancing and expanding the volunteer initiatives for our warehouse and food programs. The Warehouse Logistics & Services Coordinator is to work alongside volunteers and other staff routinely in this role.

- **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Drives truck to pick up and deliver food, supplies and inner-office mail to and from various Salvation Army facilities.

* Keeps mileage records.

* Loads and unloads trucks

* Keeps vehicles clean inside and outside.

* Inspects vehicle daily and reports necessary repairs to the Facilities Administrator

* Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

* Reads work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

* Sorts and places materials or items within warehouse on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

* Keeps warehouse clean, neat, and organized.

* Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to appropriate departments.

* Assembles emergency food boxes from stock and places conveys to Family Services Department.

* Marks materials with identifying information.

* Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

* Provides appropriate support to all Christmas activities.

* Secures building when leaving unattended.

* Recruit volunteers on an ongoing basis as well as for events/projects/programs

* Works with the Divisional Volunteer Coordinator to maintain the volunteer database, input of information, updates, communications with volunteers

* Works with the Divisional Volunteer Coordinator to post volunteer opportunities using partner agencies, social media, and TSA website and social media via Facebook and other social media platforms.

* Provides a welcoming and positive volunteer experience using name badges, self-introductions, group recognition and announcements

* Coordinates with food service staff or outside vendors for meals.

* Educates volunteers about TSA programs through orientations, publications, and tours.

* Informs volunteers of policies, procedures, safety issues, and standards of volunteer service.

* Confers with volunteers to resolve grievances and promote cooperation and interest.

* Works with Divisional Volunteer Coordinator to design volunteer fliers and forms for recruitment

* Schedules/refer volunteers that have court order hours to complete

* Creates family-friendly volunteer opportunities that are safe, educational and fun

* Take photos of volunteer groups and activities and share with the Divisional Volunteer Coordinator for use on social media, email and print copies for recognition

* Work with Sacramento County Administration team on volunteer and partner recognition.

* Provides general support to the Supervisor and other management personnel in all areas related to warehouse and food distribution.

* As needed or requested by supervisor, enters food distribution information into approved database(s).

* Monitors visitor access for all persons entering into the Family Services Offices & Warehouse.

* Performs other clerical duties as needed such as filing, photocopying and collating to any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

* Assists the Family Services Supervisor when requested.

- **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS**

* Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to draft and edit communications and correspondence.

* Ability to type and use ten key required.

* Ability to operate office equipment (calculator, scanner, copier).

* Must be proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook).

* Must have excellent organizational skills including multitasking, time management, and office systems (including maintaining files).

* Must demonstrate good judgment and act in a professional manner.

* Ability to speak and write the English language with professional level skill is required

* High school diploma or its equivalent required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a valid California Class C drivers license (with good driving record) and ability to drive a Salvation army vehicle. (or acquire within 2 months of hire to remain eligible for position). Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle means (list may not be exhaustive)

* Must be at least 21 years of age

* Complete The Salvation Armys Decision Driving course training; and

* Authorize The Salvation Army to add name to DMV Pull Notice Program list for Driving records.

* Must be able to drive a forklift safely and be forklift certified (within 3 months of hire to remain eligible for position)

- **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.

To perform this role successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform the essential duties with or without accommodation.
