Warehouse Manager Shift: 1st Shift hours Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year Location: York PA Overview A manufacturer is seeking a Warehouse Logistics Manager. Position Summary The Warehouse Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of shipping/receiving, quality control, inspection, finished goods, inventory, and the overall warehouse operations. The goal is to improve and establish standard operating procedures across these functions to ensure smooth processes. This position reports to the Production Manager. Responsibilities and Essential Functions
  • Oversee, manage, train, and evaluate staff within shipping/receiving, quality control, inspection, finished goods, inventory, and warehouse departments.
  • Responsible for packing work in process and finished goods as required.
  • Manage warehouse/finished goods inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct cycle counts and lead full physical inventory.
  • Monitor and manage budgets.
  • Assist Shipping/Receiving Supervisor with selecting carriers and negotiating rates and contracts.
  • Assist with shipping/receiving as needed.
  • Ensure items are received promptly
  • Create and establish standard operating procedures for shipping, receiving, and packing duties.
  • Ensure all required third-party products are sent out within 24 hours.
  • Respond to and resolve complaints and problems.
  • Serve as backup to confirm proper raw material is on-site per Planner's requirements.
  • Serve as backup to create purchase orders for raw material and raw material blanket releases as needed.
  • Obtain quotes for outside processing requirements as needed.
  • Collect work order completion packages, track shop data for accuracy/completeness, and file.
  • Create purchase orders for WIP outside operations and expedite with vendors.
  • Purchase supplies for office, shop, and shipping.
  • Approve expense invoices.
  • Perform administrative tasks as necessary for management staff.
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety policies.
  • Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
  • Offer recommendations for enhanced safety measures and equipment to the Safety Committee.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree preferred, ideally in business, manufacturing, or related field.
  • Three plus years of related experience and/or combination of work experience and training in a manufacturing environment. Machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Three plus years of experience with inventory control.
  • Solid work ethic, reliable availability, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and computer skills - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to learn and use ERP systems.
