WAREHOUSE - LOGISTICS MANAGER! FANTASTIC NEW POSITION FOR 2025
Our established client has an incredible facility in the Bronx and handles moving, storage and installations.
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the storage, handling, and transportation of valuable items. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, security, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse.
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff and enforcing safety protocols.
- Maintain a well-organized warehouse environment tailored to the needs of fragile items.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storing, and shipping valuable items.
Inventory Management:
Risk Management & Security:
- Oversee insurance documentation for valuable items.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the handling of high-value goods.
Transportation & Handling:
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure safe and secure delivery of valuable items.
- Oversee packing, crating, and transport arrangements for delicate and rare items, ensuring appropriate materials and methods are used.
Staff Training & Development:
- Foster a culture of safety, training and attention to detail among warehouse staff.
Customer and Client Interaction:
- Coordinate with internal teams or external clients regarding the delivery, storage, and condition of valuable items.
- Address client concerns or questions about item status, condition, and security.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse technology, and security measures.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
