PurposeThe Warehouse Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our on site distribution center, assisting the General Manager with merchandise management using a retail management system (SAP). They supervise the activities of Warehouse Team of Associates and Drivers.
Warehouse Manager Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee and the daily activities of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise to stores.
- Implement cost saving strategies for company.
- Utilize data analytics to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency
- Supervise daily activities of warehouse associates and drivers.
- Create Schedule to ensure all shifts are covered.
- Process deliveries to terminals accurately and efficiently, adhering to delivery schedules.
- Work closely with procurement, sales, and other departments to align warehouse activities with overall business goals.
- Manage the warehouse budget, including expenses for supplies, equipment, and labor.
- Use computer systems to manage accurate inventory for warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse transactions and activities.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and implement inventory control procedures.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff.
- Ensure the warehouse facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Implement product rotation based on product code dates in the warehouse and stores.
- Follow all security and safety procedures established by the Company and Branch.
- Ensure accurate and timely ticketing according to branch standards.
- Process information from related ordering and receiving forms according to company standards and accurately enter it into SAP
- Maintain effective communication, coordination, and working relationships between associates and management.
- Drive company vehicles.
Specific Required Qualifications:- SAP experience required.
- Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics.
- 2-5 years of managerial experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to drive a truck safely.
- Capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license with a Safe Driving record that meets company requirements.
