POSITION SUMMARY:

As part of the Operations leadership team, the primary focus of this position is overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse and logistics processes, the timely and accurate receiving, shipping, and delivery of all raw materials and company-manufactured goods. The primary objective is to support the Production, Sales, and Service Departments by ensuring that logistics planning and execution and inventory management is accurate and that goods are delivered on time to meet organizational needs.

In addition, maintains a safe work environment for all warehouse team members, conducting continuous improvement activities, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

A. WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

1. Collaborates with Sales, Production and Service departments to effectively plan and execute daily operations and shipment goals; attends meetings, receives requests via Teams or emails and delegates to staff to execute duties to fulfill requests and ensures timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments

2. Oversees all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving, unloading/loading, storage, inventory management and order fulfillment to assure work is completed as required; oversees the inspection of incoming materials for parts numbers, quantity, damages and assures the shipment is documented in the system; oversees the outbound shipments of finished goods or service parts, confirms customer's receiving address, schedules carriers and freight forwarders to assure on-time delivery

3. Manages customer relationships and acts as the main point of contact for scheduling, planning and effective on-time delivery execution to meet customer requirements

4. Implements and maintains efficient warehouse layouts and storage and racking configurations to optimize space utilization as well as ensure the integrity/safety of the materials/products stored

5. Develops and enforces standard operating procedures (SOPS) to ensure consistency and efficiency in all warehouse processes; identifies potential storage problems in advance to assure implementation of timely solutions

B. TEAM MANAGEMENT

1. Staff Management: Based on the daily receiving and shipping targets, allocates and delegates team member tasks to achieve on-time deliveries and timely loading and unloading of all shipments. Provides guidance, supervision, and inspection of the work of team members, and maintains oversight of work progress; participatesin new employee recruitment and managesthe probationary period.

2. Performance Management: Manage all team member ‘s performance, provide timely evaluation, feedback and coach, collaborates with the HR department to set performance evaluation programs for team members.

3. Personnel Development: Manages team member development and identifies opportunities for cross training employees.

4. Employee Care: Regularly communicates with warehouse staff to address and provide feedback on employee concerns, enhance employee satisfaction, and reduce turnover rates.

C. LOGISTICS COORDINATION

1. Coordinates logistics and transportation activities, including scheduling deliveries and

managing carrier and customer communication to assure on-time deliveries

2. Monitors transport costs and identifies opportunities for cost and efficiency optimization; negotiates freight rates and brings on new, less costly carriers

3. Tracks shipments to ensure on-time delivery to customers and suppliers

4. Resolves all issues or delays in delivery process to minimize costs and disruptions

D. SAFETY, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT AND 5 S MANAGEMENT

1. Creates, oversees and ensures safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for all warehouse team members; Ensures compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards

2. Conducts regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed

3. Executes environmental and safety-related policies

4. Provides ongoing training to warehouse staff on safety procedures and best practices

5. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost-savings within the warehouse and Logistics operations

6. Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects

7. Implements measures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity in warehouse operations

8. Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and drive improvements.

E. SYSTEM PROCESS & DATA MANAGEMENT

1. Establishes and optimizes inbound and outbound processes for the warehouse and implements cyclic inventory counting systems; supervises the execution of cyclic inventory counting to ensure physical accuracy

2. Maintains the accuracy and completeness of the inventory data in the warehouse system; organizes, implements, and oversees processes to assure accurate recording of all inbound and outbound shipments

3. Works with IT department to optimize warehouse system functionality to ensure effective inventory control

F. FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

1. Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facilities at all times

2. Coordinates maintenance activities including equipment repairs and facility improvements

3. Manages relationships with third-party service providers including janitorial and maintenance contractors

4. Handles other duties as requested

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Bachelor's degree in in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software applications.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in warehouse environments.

• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve operations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, copier, filing cabinets and other machines.

Able to work extended schedules including evenings and weekends; Able to drive and travel overnight on occasion.
