The RoleAs the working Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations and efficiency of the warehouse. The purpose of this position is to manage all warehouse and distribution functions, including operations, transportation, and personnel. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team; one of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team. You will be responsible for engaging your team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance performance, and engagement. To achieve this, managers are expected to provide their associates with the tools and decision-making needed for success. You will keenly drive productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing Inbound Purchasing and logistics: Placing orders necessary to satisfy production needs.Warehouse Operations: In-processing, inventory management, warranty processing, and returns.Managing Order Fulfillment: Delivery of inventory to ongoing project sites.Direct and assign work; set performance objectives and monitor performance of all distribution center departments.Manage distribution center activities, operations, and job forecasts; Monitor progress towards goals.Plan and direct the day-to-day transportation functions.Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and balancing labor across your center; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conducting staff meetings; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Work to KPIs such as Delivery On Time, Order Error Rate, Pick Order Rate, and other performance goals and objectives to achieve production expectations and ensure accuracy and quality; provide reporting of same.Provide day-to-day support during the rollout/implementation of newer systems/processes and gather feedback.Manage, execute, and verify the completion of returns in a timely manner.Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives.Lead and develop a team of warehouse and distribution center associates.Ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates.Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredMust have very strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of management experience.Knowledge and experience of in-bound logistics, fulfillment & transportation operations.Experience in planning, staffing, budgeting, and organizing.Ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse functions and individuals toward profitability objectives.Experienced with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to find practical and simple solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality.Must have model leadership behaviors including the ability to defuse conflict.Willingness to develop a mentoring relationship in order to contribute experience, skills, and wisdom to subordinate employees for their development.Ability to interpret HR regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.Three or more years of management experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.This employer provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $75,000 - $82,000 per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
