Job Description:
• Warehouse Manager1. Supervise warehouse employees and oversee daily operations.2. Perform and/or schedule general maintenance of company delivery trucks in a monthly basis and update the maintenance log. 3. Perform general maintenance of company machinery used in the warehouse, inspect condition of tools and equipment in a monthly/quarterly basis, as needed, and update the maintenance log. 4. Ensure high degree of detail and focus on every job.5. Train, coach, monitor and communicate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of merchandise to avoid mistakes and issues.6. Manage customer's, office personnel and sales personnel requests promptly to resolve issues quickly.7. Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.8. Communicate, train and enforce all company rules and regulations within the warehouse employees and drivers.9. Complies with federal & state laws and regulations in warehousing, material handling and shipping; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. 10. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. 11. Maintain updated certifications to comply with Risk and Safety Department (OSHA) (Forklift, Pickers and other machinery) and schedule renewals as needed. 12. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system.13. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders/calls for repair and requisitions for replacement.14. Schedule and distribute working hours accordingly per week.15. Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees accordingly.16. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results as well as conducting work performance reviews for all warehouse employees and drivers. 17. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.18. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security while working at the warehouse wearing the proper safety equipment.19. Keep all safety gears in the proper location when not using.20. Review and corroborate orders pulled by warehouse employees with invoice descriptions and quantities by item to make sure is correct.21. Assist shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks and checking in all merchandise going out or coming in the warehouse.22. Pull orders from storage areas and compare them with customer orders. Pull and place orders in the proper staging area to avoid confusion and delays while loading the trucks. Make sure delivery trucks are safely loaded or unloaded to avoid breakages. 23. Always treat merchandise/equipment/machinery/vehicles with care and concern as they are company property.24. Unload and load outside carriers' trucks as it relates to shipping and/or receiving merchandise. 25. Check products from incoming containers to ensure correct quantity and product and confirm the company's purchase order. Before unloading any merchandise, make sure that the container came sealed, if not, contact Management for further instructions. Sign documentation before truck and driver leaves.26. Optimize space to ensure that everything is in its correct place. Locate and classified merchandise per location.27. Assure that no cellphones are allowed in warehouse while operating machinery at any time during working hours, only emergency calls can be taken. Responsible to communicate, coach and monitor cellphone usage. 28. Maintain clean and safe work environment, keeping shelves, pallet area and workstation neat and clean for shipping/receiving. 29. Contribute to team effort in getting the job done quickly and effectively, being a team player.30. The Warehouse Manager will frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Will frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Should be able to constantly perform physical effort by lifting up to a height of 5-6 feet and push, pull or carry materials weighing between 10-50lbs and occasionally weighing more than 50lbs.Job category: Cellar/Lab/Bottling/Warehouse
