Abby's also provides exclusive gourmet delights for corporate offices, private and corporate events as well as food service management contracts.Job SummaryThe Warehouse and Logistics Manager oversees warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, decanting, and distribution of goods. This role ensures compliance with all food safety, quality, and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations while maintaining inventory accuracy, effective material flow, and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities•Warehouse Operations Management:•Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of goods (dry, fresh, and frozen).•Manage product rotation (FIFO) and expiration date control.•Ensure proper replenishment of disposables, packaging, beverages, and PC items.•Maintain accurate inventory levels, adjusting pars as necessary to meet demand.•Manage the decanting and thawing process following specific requirements.•Coordinate material flow from the warehouse to designated areas, restricting unauthorized access.•Ensure compliance with food safety, quality regulations, and CBP rules for CASR operations.•Maintain a strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and promote workplace safety.•Alert management about necessary equipment repairs, replacements, or updates.•Provide leadership, training, and accountability to warehouse team members.•Foster a team-oriented work environment while maintaining the ability to work independently.•Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure adherence to company standards.•Collaborate with kitchens and the Purchasing Department to meet operational needs.•Alert the Warehouse Manager of overstock, shortages, or urgent procurement needs.•Provide ad hoc requisitions as needed for missing items.•Ensure proper upkeep of office machines, tools, and transportation equipment.•Maintain cold storage areas and ensure readiness for daily operations.Requirements•Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role in warehousing, airline catering, or supply chain management.•Skills and Certifications:•Proficiency in MS Office applications.•Valid and locally recognized food safety handler certification.•Forklift certification (hand-operated, stand-in, or sit-down).•Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.•OSHA certification is a plus.•Physical Requirements:•Ability to work daily in cold storage, including freezers.•Ability to lift heavy items, bend, and move merchandise.Other Requirements:•Must meet eligibility requirements for IAH Airport ID (pass a 10-year federal background check).•Flexible schedule to accommodate a 24/7 work environment, including blackout PTO periods during peak seasons (e.g., year-end, summer).•Strong organizational skills and systematic work practices.•Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results driven.•Sense of urgency with the ability to resolve supply chain issues promptly.•Team-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills.Abby's Catering is an equal opportunity employer.Salary Description $62K - $72K -experienced based
