SureScan Corporation is currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler Associate 1 who is motivated, a self-starter, willing to take on challenges and will work to continuously improve the SureScan explosive detection product documentation process and deliverables to support Service and Sales. Job Description Summary: Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores materials. Fills requisitions and orders. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials to business units. Duties/Functions/Accountability/Scope:
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Flexible in hours...current job 8:30 - 4:30 with half hour lunch. 9:00 - 5:30 may be best. Must be available for OT and Weekends (Saturdays; maybe once every other month) as business dictates.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Typically requires less than 1 years of prior experience working in a Logistics/Shipping department.
- Capable of driving burden carrier, utilizing a bag sealer
- Experience with package materials and placing orders for them (cardboard, plastic bags, tape, and etc.)
- able to read and interpret a customer packaging specification
- Basic computer skills
- Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager
- Must be able to communicate and support a team environment
- Intuitive or other business software experience is preferred
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Requires simple oral communication skills, visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Must be available for overtime work
- Must be able to stand for periods up to four hours
- Must be able to manage 35lbs; cart assisted.
Security Assess:
- Ability to obtain security clearance
