Job Description:

SureScan Corporation is currently seeking a Warehouse Material Handler Associate 1 who is motivated, a self-starter, willing to take on challenges and will work to continuously improve the SureScan explosive detection product documentation process and deliverables to support Service and Sales. Job Description Summary: Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores materials. Fills requisitions and orders. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials to business units. Duties/Functions/Accountability/Scope:

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Flexible in hours...current job 8:30 - 4:30 with half hour lunch. 9:00 - 5:30 may be best. Must be available for OT and Weekends (Saturdays; maybe once every other month) as business dictates.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Typically requires less than 1 years of prior experience working in a Logistics/Shipping department.
  • Capable of driving burden carrier, utilizing a bag sealer
  • Experience with package materials and placing orders for them (cardboard, plastic bags, tape, and etc.)
  • able to read and interpret a customer packaging specification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager
  • Must be able to communicate and support a team environment
  • Intuitive or other business software experience is preferred
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
Certifications:
  • Fork lift certification
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
  • Requires simple oral communication skills, visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • Must be available for overtime work
  • Must be able to stand for periods up to four hours
  • Must be able to manage 35lbs; cart assisted.
Security Assess:
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
