**Warehouse Operations Manager**
AL Warehouse Florence, Alabama Minimum Experience **Experienced** POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the planning, organization, and monitoring of products received, stored and distributed; ensure a smooth and consistent operation so materials and products are located and distributed properly; supervise and direct all warehouse personnel; and maintain a strong commitment to quality as well as execute the highest level of customer service to ensure company profitability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
*Warehouse Personnel*
* Motivate, educate, and supervise all assigned personnel
* Ensure safety and general housekeeping rules are maintained at all times
* Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training new employees
* Monitor results of employees by coaching, counseling and disciplining as needed
*Operational Management*
* Responsible for operational management of warehouse facilities and staff, shipping and receiving, pick and pack process, inventory organization and counts, and space planning
* Meet warehouse operational standards by implementing productivity standards, resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements
* Meet warehouse financial standards by monitoring expenditures, identify variances and implement corrective actions
* Effectively communicate daily details of the operation with all subordinates, peers, and upper management
*Inventory and Warehouse Organization*
* Maintain high levels of accuracy in inventory integrity and daily operations
* Oversee inventory by monitoring the scheduling and movement of materials
* Coordinate inventory transfers
* Maintain storage area by organizing floor space; adhere to storage design principles; recommend improvements
* Collaborate with others to maintain inventory by conducting physical counts; reconcile variances
* Ensure the security of warehouse and all inventory
*Packing/Shipping*
* Ensure timely shipment of correct quantities while adhering to specific operational procedures
* Oversee the preparation of shipments by monitoring the assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling of containers
* Manage the shipment of items by verifying information, quantity and condition of items; ensure load and protection of items
* Oversee the maintenance of shipping and receiving of materials; check stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed materials; place and expedite orders for materials; verify receipt of materials
*Receiving*
* Direct the receipt of items by observing the unloading of vehicles, acceptance of deliveries and unpacking of containers
* Supervise the verification of items received by inspecting condition of items; compare count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list; note discrepancies
* Manage the receipt, inspection and inventory of returns and damages; communicate noticeable problematic patterns to management
* Oversee the repair and/or re-boxing of products as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
* Associates Degree required
* Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required; Minimum of 4 years related work experience
* Knowledge of warehouse procedures; familiarity with freight industry
* Forklift operator certified
* General mechanical skills
* Knowledge of equipment safety standards
* Ability to resolve issues accurately and independently
* Possess advanced organizational, problem solving and time management skills
* Basic skills in Microsoft Office and Google applications
* Ability to work occasional weekend, early morning and/or evening work, as needed
