DescriptionPosition: Warehouse Manager, Rochester, NY Who we are: Established in 1991, The Anderson-DuBose Company is a full-service distribution company for major quick service restaurants in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New York. We currently have two distribution center locations; Lordstown, Ohio (headquarters) and Rochester, New York and are always seeking opportunities for growth. In late 2025 we will also be opening a new DC in Jacksonville, FL. (Transportation and Warehouse are the two largest departments at each DC and typically operate 24/7.) Opportunity Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the Warehouse Operations and staff, ensuring customer orders are properly filled and loaded for delivery while maintaining a productive, safe, clean and organized facility. This position is responsible for forecasting business volume and ensuring all scheduling and performance targets are reached. This position supervises the Warehouse Operations (including staff, scheduling, planning, facility maintenance and cleanliness).

How you will make contributions that matter:
  • Directs the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.
  • Ensures production standards and accuracy levels are met.
  • Oversees productivity utilizing all systems including warehouse management software, voice selection system and JD Edwards.
  • Develops and ensures improvements in material handling practices to promote safe, efficient and productive operations while operating economically and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Suggests cost-saving methods and procedures, where applicable, including the controlling of overtime hours.
  • Assists in preparation of annual budgets and operates within approved plans.
  • Ensures complete and comprehensive training of all personnel under span of control.
  • Ensures all daily, weekly and monthly reports are kept current and accurate.
  • Directs improvement methods for operations; assists in implementation of all directives, changes, and methods, as directed by executive management.
  • Coordinates with the Distribution Manager to resolve any daily operational problems which may arise.
  • Foster a work environment that maximizes employee involvement, morale and engagement
  • Ensures the achievement of goals, objectives, and production standards established by the Company.
  • Delivers employee disciplinary action, when necessary, and assists in procuring verification and documentation of same.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Bring:
  • Education - Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
  • Experience - 5 or more years related experience and/or training in engineered labor management, warehouse management, and various elements of a Warehouse Management System.
  • Other Required Skills or Abilities - Recruiting/interviewing/staffing, technical skills (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point), engineered labor standards and systems, voice selection technology (Lucas), JD Edwards, managerial/leadership skills, developing and executing budgets and cost controls, safety management, process management, inventory control, analyzing information, equipment and facility maintenance.

Experience - 5 or more years related experience and/or training in Engineered Labor Management, Warehouse Management, and various elements of a Warehouse Management System. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, vendors, customers, and/or the general public. Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - None. Other Required Skills and Abilities - Computer software, Excel, Word, Power Point, Engineered Labor systems, Voice Selection technology, JDEdwards OneWorld.
