Positions in this sub-family are generalists within the job family or responsible for activities across multiple sub families within Supply & Logistics **Responsibilities**

**Warehouse Operations Management**

Manage receiving activity to ensure on time delivery, release carrier equipment to avoid detention, and monitor yard management for proper spotting/movement. Manage inventory processing to ensure product availability for timely customer shipments & to ensure DC compliance with BSA lead time goals. Create and manage solutions for inventory capacity problems. Create and maintain an environment of continual improvement that supports company objectives. Ensure operational objectives and processes in the physical distribution manual are in place and being followed.

**Personnel Management**

Champion teammate engagement in business processes and culture development. Manage contractor partner relationships & Material Handlers, directing & evaluating performance. Mutually set goals & objectives toward subordinate success and advancement. Through personal example and leadership promote safety, accident prevention, and incentive programs that promote excellence in warehouse operations. Support the investigation and root cause analysis of all loss events.

**Process and Misc. Management**

Analyze monthly reports/records of all DC operations to assure best practices are in use to minimize cost and maximize efficiency. Assure building safety / security requirements are met, all occupants understand and comply with standard building rules. Lead project analysis and plans as may be directed by DC manager that result in combined efficiencies of transportation, auto, and warehouse operations. Ensure that security on duty at gate(s) is properly positioned and fully aware of CDS and common carrier daily schedules and changes.

**Transportation Management**

Direct transportation related operations to support warehouse operations, including managing activities to ensure on time delivery and receipts. Spot pricing, shipment load planning, scheduling and execution, customer and carrier claims and dedicated private fleet operations. Ensure compliance with all Safety, DOT, C-TPAT and other legal or regulatory requirements involving transportation operations. Assist in the negotiation of pricing and rates for all carrier modes, including local drayage for Intermodal and railroad ramp shipment and deliveries. Selects carriers and balance use of private fleet and common carriers based on guidance from corporate transportation group. Manage supplier relationships for enduring mutual interest. Manage the equipment in the yard to minimize detention/demurrage/per diem, and to provide for trailer spotting and or movement.

**Qualifications**

* BS degree in Logistics/Business Administration or a related degree

* 6 years of logistics supervisory experience.
