Position Summary The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will lead a team of 10-20 in order picking, fulfillment, and/or receiving. A successful candidate will be a great communicator, be able to solve problems on the fly and adapt to changes in priorities. This position will have a focus on quality and training, with a customer first mentality. The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be required to work effectively with other departments to communicate priorities and solve problems. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be very organized and have some proficiency with software tools such as Excel and Word. The person in this role should also be able to lift up to 35 pounds to unload deliveries. This is a vital role that will provide key support to the company in the drive towards the long-term goals of the organization. This is a full-time position for a two-shift operation. This position reports directly to the Senior Warehouse Operations Manager in our West Chester, Ohio warehouse. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Warehouse Operations Manager to improve daily execution (quantity and accuracy).
- Provide leadership and guidance to Warehouse Associates while holding individuals accountable to performance and attendance expectations.
- Monitor and improve key service level metrics for all areas of warehouse operations to ensure we are delivering on our promises.
- Communicate with teams on updates or delays.
- Own training and quality processes inside warehouse operations.
- Support operational strategy and innovation to drive business goals for operational execution, revenues and profitability.
- Contribute to building an adaptive warehouse operation capable of flexing labor to meet business needs situationally.
- Ensure the health and safety of all team members, temp staff and visitors at the facility.
- Maintain accurate records and supplies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 - 4 years' experience in multi-shift warehousing, operations, ecommerce fulfillment and logistics.
- Strong organizational, administrative, team building, supervision, communication experience and skills.
- Analytical ability to gather and understand data, and to create, communicate and implement ideas.
- Dynamic, high sense of energy with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and operate in a fast-paced environment of rapid growth.
- Leadership presence with clear and thoughtful communication style.
- Familiarity with Excel, NetSuite, and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Ability to support 2nd shift at times and work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
