This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Warehouse Operative to join a team of 2 where you will report to the Supply Chain Manager. Working closely with the MoD, you will be responsible for the issue and receipt of goods in the store.
We are looking for a customer focused individual who has excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. You will have a good level of numeracy, with the ability to work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of all process facets associated with Supply-chain & Warehouse Logistics.
As a Warehouse Operative you will
Action Supplier deliveries within goods- inward department & transaction through Receipts process.
MHE operation to assist & support warehouse tasks where required.
Complete regular housekeeping as part of warehouse operative role.
Maintenance of Stock integrity through Product compliance including checking of CofC, Shelf life to ensure through-process control.
Action Issue picking activity in response to Babcock customer demands, ensuring accuracy, correct condition and sufficient packaging for onward distribution.
The experience youll bring
You will have previous experience in a Stores/Warehouse position
A current or expired fork lift truck licence is desirable, if expired we will renew it
You will have an understanding of IT packages, SAP would be an advantage but not essential
Fit and able bodied for manual handling tasks
You will need to satisfy security requirements. This may require you to hold or be eligible/capable of achieving Security Check (SC) clearance
