Warehouse Operator (Day Shift)Job Details

DescriptionOperate truck scale and radiation detectors.
Unload/load all trucks making sure loads match paperwork/purchase orders.
Store material in proper areas provided.
Report all damaged items immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Operate saws and wheelabrator as required.
Cross Train/Back-up to the Charge Make-Up team, as needed.
Perform sonic testing on bars and billets.
Perform housekeeping inspections and participate in Plant safety activities.
Deliver all appropriate shipping/receiving paperwork to the Warehouse Supervisor when completed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment on a daily basis.
Clean and secure area daily before leaving.
Assist in inventory counts as required.
Evaluate scrap material composition using best sampling practices.
Use analytical equipment to perform preliminary evaluation of scrap material.
Cut samples for process lab analysis.
Deliver samples to lab for analysis when needed.
Cut & prepare scrap suitable for charging into induction furnace.
Set up ink jet line.
Complete production router.
Properly use hand held analyzer for checking chemistry of incoming and out going material.
Seal, band, weigh packed material per work order instructions.
Accurately report final yields.
Grind out embedded shot as needed.
Safe Operation of the Burning Bars used to cut material (bar or scrap) and open Ladle Gates.
Any other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor.

Efficiently handle the processing of incoming and outgoing material as required by customer specifications and delivery requirements. Work with Quality team to evaluate incoming scrap by analytical analysis and sample preparation as required.
