POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Quality and Process Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this role is essential for ensuring that our warehouse operations maintain high-quality standards while efficiently executing warehouse processes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse:
- Accurately pick and pack supplies into crates to support various hospitality services.
- Receive and stock deliveries of perishable items, equipment, and catering supplies in a timely manner.
- Manage the logistics of supply deliveries and pick-ups to ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure a safe and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Assist with asset tagging for all equipment and maintain the Asset Panda program for accurate tracking.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, including cleaning and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Monitor and maintain the forklift maintenance checklist and ensure weekly battery charging is conducted.
- Assist with facility maintenance tasks and manage supply inventory.
- Prepare food items for events and shows as required.
- Deliver equipment and supplies to National and Café Lines events and site storage locations.
- Actively participate in department meetings to discuss operations, improvements, and updates.
- Provide support for 4-6 hospitality events each year, with each event lasting 3-5 days, ensuring all logistical needs are met.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with quality standards (damage, packaging, expiration etc.)
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify and document quality issues, recommending corrective actions to management.
- Quality control inspections on crates closings for signoff and delivery to shipping.
- Perform checks on crates and picklists, reporting errors to appropriate teams.
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support operational needs in conjunction with the Purchasing and Inventory Manager.
- Conduct regular cycle counts (inventory control) and reconcile discrepancies in inventory records.
- Oversee the organization and storage of inventory in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Initiate the purchasing request for replenishing inventory to meet PAR levels.
- Compile lists of returned goods, soon-to-expire items, and manage scrap reports for expired or damaged equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS::
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality control and inventory management within a warehouse setting.
- Highly organized and detailed. Strong ability to multi-task.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and proactively meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with productivity tools such as MS Office 365, Outlook, Excel, Word, Google Sheets and MS Teams.
- Experience with cloud-based applications and mobile applications preferred.
- Unpack and lift equipment ranging from 50 lbs.+
- Experience operating a forklift preferred.
- Ability to travel to locations across the United States for multi-day hospitality events, including weekend events/travel..
