Job purpose PHINIA is currently looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Warehouse Warranty Operator at our Aftermarket Remanufacturing Plant in Troy, MI. As part of the warehouse team, the scope is to support the Warehouse Manager in overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of warehouse warranties. This position will own the warranty process from receiving to rejections.
Key responsibilities - Prepares materials for manufacturing use by picking, labeling, and staging shop orders.
- Must be able to think on their feet under pressure during high volume production days. Speed and accuracy are crucial.
- Responsibility for maintaining inventory accuracy by reviewing various reports to scan for potential inventory inaccuracies, investigating, making any necessary adjustments, and escalating any shortages to warehouse manager.
- Perform occasional cycle counts of warehouse inventory to maintain accuracy and correct errors.
- Point of contact for warranties received from our customer
- Receive material from vendors through SAP
- Verify part numbers, PO numbers, and quantities of receiving material
- Attend daily warehouse team meetings
- Follow warehouse routines for the warehouse bailer - training will be provided on bailer
- Consolidate customer warranties for internal documentation
- Organize delivery for warranties to proper locations
- Properly track warranties for tracking numbers, proper paperwork, and inventory, and other miscellaneous information
- Document warranty rejections per appropriate standard work process
- Work with all levels of the organization to ensure warranties are tracked appropriately
- Follow proper 5S policy
What we're looking for - Must be able to lift 70 lbs. Must be able to stand for the entire duration of shift.
- Knowledge of basic math. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex.
- Excellent cross function/global communication is a must
- Action and detail oriented
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent excel skills is a must
- Self-starter
Preferred Skills - Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of DHL shipping process is preferred
- Ability to drive forklift and obtain forklift license. Training will be provided.
