**Description**

Blount Fine Foods is a private, family owned company that has been in the food business since 1880. Our product Line includes refrigerated and frozen gourmet soups, side dishes and entrees for food service and retail. The Company, headquartered in Fall River, MA, is the largest producer of clam chowder in New England and the largest manufacturer of Lobster bisque in the country.

**SUMMARY**

Perform all duties associated with shipping and receiving of product, and inventory management. In event of absence, position will be filled by adequately trained personnel.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other responsibilities w/ similar skill and work conditions as assigned.

* Responsible for safety of all equipment used, reporting all unsafe conditions, and accidents (to supervisor or director).

* Must be trained and pass licensing for Warehouse Material Handling Equipment. Must operate all equipment safely, following OSHA mandated guidelines.

* Performs Warehouse Material Handling Equipment pre-operational check and fills out check sheets. Any deficiencies to be reported immediately to supervisor/manager or director.

* Responsible for dock, freezer, grounds and parking lot cleanliness.

* Responsible to insure that all trucks are chocked prior to loading or unloading.

* Unload and check in products, verifying counts and lot numbers upon receipt (notes any errors and corrects BOL).

* Receiving of incoming product, checking and logging counts, lot numbers and locations.

* Move products as needed to pick locations, checking and logging counts, lot numbers and locations.

* Accurately pick orders, checking, logging, count, lot numbers, and locations. Order picking to be FIFOd.

* Exhibits a superior attitude while working with outside Carriers, Internal and External Customers, and employees.

* All paperwork (Forklift log sheet, Put-A-Ways, Moves, Pick Tickets, etc) to be neat and orderly.

* Ability to manage any and all sample product inventory

* Responsible for safely changing and maintaining batteries.

* Ability to work independently without Supervision

* Able to work Overtime as required with minimal notice.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

* At least 1 year of previous warehousing experience

* Up to 2 years of previous warehousing experience in small parcel processing (UPS/FedEx)

* Ability to operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to motorized electric stand-on pallet jacks as well as stand up electric reach high lift

* Ability to comprehend basic computer skills

* Ability to effectively communicate with others, as well as strong basic mathematical skills

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal Supervision
