EHR Services has partnered with Covaris, LLC. to hire a Warehouse/Shipping Associate. Covaris, LLC is an established biotech company headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts. Covaris has developed the Adaptive Focused Acoustics™ (AFA) technology platform, which enables pre-analytical sample preparation, enabling the extraction, purification, and collection of nucleic acids, proteins, and metabolites from a wide variety of samples. Covaris AFA technology is the gold standard for DNA fragmenting for Next-Generation Sequencing. Covaris products have unique and competitive advantages for Genomics, Proteomics, and Epigenomics research scientists. Job Summary: Warehouse/Shipping Associate receives materials and products, both domestic and international. This position will maintain stock records using an MRP system. This position will have basic knowledge of shipping procedures and inventory control methods. They will report to a Shipping Manager. A degree of resourcefulness and latitude is required. Essential Responsibilities: The employee may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential responsibilities as determined by business necessity.
- Receive materials using the MRP system.
- Pull kits for production.
- Work with other departments to fulfill part requests.
- Delivery of packages throughout the building.
- Participate in cycle counts.
- Maintain appropriate inventory records in accordance with procedures and policies.
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean.
- Packing and shipping both instruments and consumables.
Non-Essential Responsibilities: In addition to the essential responsibilities listed above, the employee may be required to perform other non-essential functions. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisor. Qualifications:
- Must have a High School diploma and 2+ years of related experience with inventory and shipping.
- Must have good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Email.
- Ability to use a small forklift/dolly.
- Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including the ability to lift, carry, and handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Desired: Experience working within an ISO 13485-regulated facility.
