Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, shipping, and inventory control.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize space utilization, improve workflow, and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and well organized warehouse.
2. Inventory Control:
- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical and system inventory.
3. Staff Supervision and Development:
- Recruit, train, and manage shipping staff.
- Work with HR to Conduct performance reviews and address employee issues promptly and professionally.
4. Logistics Coordination:
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with suppliers, carriers, and customers.
- Work closely with the purchasing department on inventory discrepancies, issues and special requests.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure all equipment and practices meet safety and operational standards.
Qualifications and Skills
• Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field (preferred).
• Experience: 5+ years in warehouse management or operations with supervisory experience.
• Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices and logistics processes.
- Certifications (optional): OSHA certification, Six Sigma, or similar.
