The Warehouse Site Manager is responsible for all activities within the designated building, including managing and directing operations, safety, associate relations, host relations, and communications. The position will be responsible for overseeing the Home Center site located in Cheshire, CT. Available Shift: All Department(s): 3rd Shift(s)- 6:00 PM or 9:00 PM- until completion
- The position requires flexibility to work across all departments during the 3rd shift. The schedule may vary, and assistance may be needed on the 1st shift as well.
- Weekends and/or holidays may be required based on business needs.
Responsibilities Include: - The position will be responsible for overseeing the Home Center sites located in Cheshire, CT.
- Directs associates to perform operations safely and efficiently.
- Documenting & communicating with associates, host management, transportation partners, and FHI leadership to ensure performance standards and safety goals are accomplished.
- Review staffing levels and needs. Partners with Talent Acquisition to ensure an adequate candidate pipeline.
- Responsible for hiring, development, promotions, and terminations of associates.
- Targets and supports areas of improvement, including but not limited to DART rating, OT expenses, Overtime, Turnover, and Payroll percentages. Creates and executes action plans.
- Maintains a safety mindset through daily safety inspections, adherence to safety policies, EHS Safety Audits, and reporting potential safety threats; works with leadership to remedy threatening situations.
- Guarantee safeguard measures are being adhered to maintain cleanliness and a debris-free work area.

Qualifications Required: Education: - We believe that skills and experience are what truly matter. While education can be a valuable asset, it is not a strict requirement for success in this role.
Experience: - Experience receiving or unloading in a warehouse or distribution setting preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience required.
- Supply chain management experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: - Knowledge of warehousing & logistics, preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and write English for effective communication
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow directions
- Leadership skills and ability to supervise people and production effectively
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check with a hair follicle drug screen
Work Environment: - This position is designated as safety-sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner is required. Warehouse environment with extreme heat and cold temperatures.
Additional Qualifications: Physical Demands: - Warehouse work environment with varying temperatures, at both hot and cold extremes
- Must be able to lift cases by hand weighing from 25 to 95 pounds, occasionally
- Ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat occasionally.
- Use of standard office equipment in typical office environments/conditions.
- Ability to work long and varying hours/shifts to meet operational needs.
- Ability to use close and distance vision to focus on a computer screen for most of the workday.
