Job Description:
DescriptionFour-Day Work Week, 34 hours (Monday to Thursday)Summary: Maintain inventory of supplies, materials, tools, equipment and vehicles for the department. Prepare weatherization materials and supplies in advance for crews. Process material returns for crews at end of each day. Education: Required high school diploma or GED. Experience: One to three years experience in inventory control and one to three years experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet, and database software. Additional Requirements:
  • Initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Records checks, maintain a valid driver's license, and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Must have insured, dependable transportation available for daily use.
  • Must submit to initial and/or periodic state and/or federal criminal checks.
  • Must submit to initial and periodic drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to be reached by cellular phone during business hours and after hours.
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ordering supplies, materials, tools, equipment and vehicles for the department ensuring all funding procurement methods and protocols are followed; maintain and purchase code books for department.
  • Responsible for warehouse inventory deliveries, ordering, stocking, returns and conducting quarterly counts.
  • Responsible for daily material loading and material returns for crews.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the warehouse.
  • Schedule, track and maintain vehicle/fleet and equipment maintenance and repair for department.
  • Maintain and update Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of program requirements, standards, policies and procedures and changes/updates to local, state and federal regulations.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining documentation of job safety programs and training for employees on health and safety regulations (OSHA) and company standards to ensure safety in the workplace and ensure staff receive and maintain appropriate training(s) and certification(s) for their respective positions.
  • Assist weatherization crews and heat technicians on job sites when needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor.
