Researches, analyzes, and evaluates correct repair parts and materials. Receives incoming freight, identifies problems with shipments and coordinates reconciliations with suppliers as necessary. Maintains and updates automated bar code system to track proof of deliveries. Selects freight companies for all merchandise and parts returns to suppliers and coordinates all outgoing shipments. Compiles stock orders to replenish Business Unit inventories. Operates, maintains, diagnoses problems, performs basic repairs and replaces parts on high speed Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and all equipment in the warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

High School diploma. Some college courses or formal training in Purchasing, Materials Management, Warehousing or related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years of shipping and receiving experience. Heavy-duty diesel parts experience or knowledge of bus and train parts is preferred. Two years experience using JD Edwards preferred. UPS/FedEx shipping software is preferred. VLM operation/maintenance or high density storage equipment or equivalent experience preferred.

Must have a valid Utah drivers license. Must be a safe driver with no more than 4 moving violations in the past three 3 years. Cannot have more than 1 violation of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.

Knowledge:

  • Experience utilizing parts publications for parts research from vendors such as Detroit Cummings, Gillig, MCI, New Flyer, Siemens, and Bombardier is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Import/Export regulations/laws for US, Canada and Europe helpful.
  • Advanced knowledge of JD Edwards preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication. Ability to interact in a professional manner at all times.
  • Microsoft Office software proficiency at a basic level in Word and Excel.

Abilities:

  • Must be certified or be able to be certified to operate sit down counterbalanced fork truck, narrow aisle fork truck, electric pallet jack and aerial lift.
  • Ability to use power tools such as compound miter saw, reciprocating saw, screw gun, etc. is helpful.
  • Must be able to perform effectively in a fast paced environment.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

This job requires regular and predictable attendance.
